Hello! Dana Baswell here. I serve as Executive Planner here at Southern Styled Events. I work alongside my Associate Planner, Miranda. We have more loving hands who jump in on wedding weekend but the two of us run the business day-to-day. Southern Styled Events specializes in wedding planning and coordination here in Alabama and beyond.

DANA BASWELL
OWNER / EXECUTIVE PLANNER

From a young age, I could be found drawing wedding dresses and swooning over beautiful wedding details.  I have always loved fashion, art and all things production.  It was no surprise the wedding industry got my blood pumping as it brings all of these crafts together! 

As an enneagram 8, I love a challenge. The tasks that feel daunting to some are exhilarating for me. Being fiercely protective, I become the biggest cheerleader for my Brides and Grooms on their wedding day! I bring a big-sister energy to all my projects. 

I live in Birmingham with my husband, Chris, and our daughter, Maggie. I have an exceedingly spoiled tuxedo cat, Oreo, and I love painting as my creative outlet. I travel as often as I can and have begun my descent in the Mahjong mania!

MIRANDA NASSIF
ASSOCIATE PLANNER

Miranda learned the trade of Wedding planning from her elder sister, Kelsea, who started Southern Styled Events in 2015. Since then she has followed along and gained a real love of caring for Brides at every turn. 

She graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Marketing and now lives in Birmingham with her Fiance, Derek.  She will be a Bride herself in 2026 so is learning firsthand what the Bridal journey looks and feels like!
