Dana understood our vision and used her vast network of vendors to help us create the venue of our dreams while also helping us stay within our budget. "Do yourself a favor and hire Dana! Her hard work allowed me to actually enjoy the wedding planning process. I chose to have my wedding and reception at my parent's home and I knew having this celebration at a private residence would require extra planning. That's where Dana stepped in. The moment I met her she just "got" my wedding vision. Dana was with me every step of the way, from vendor meetings to linen choices. I told her what was important to me and the aspects of wedding planning that I didn't care for, she just completely took off my plate. On the *rare* occasion that something went wrong, not only did she have a backup plan ready, but it was already in action by the time I even realized there was an issue. It's not possible to fully list all the ways Dana stepped up and stepped in, but I will say, my wedding day was the best day of my life! "I got engaged in December 2021 and immediately hit the ground running with wedding planning! By the first week of January, I had secured a wedding date for 10/22/22 at my dream wedding venue, Renaissance Ross Bridge and a fun band. I had all the hopes that Between me, my mom, and my mother-in-love we could easily plan the wedding of my dreams. A week later, I remember texting my mom and telling her I could no longer plan the wedding and asked if we could hire a wedding planner. I found Southern Styled Events thanks to The Knot and immediately knew I needed to reach out for help! I chose the partial planning package since I had already locked in venue, etc and had the pleasure of getting to work with Dana Baswell! Dana is a true queen! She took all of my random ideas and desires and helped me to fill in the gaps/details that I had no idea I needed. Dana was always there for me when I had random questions or just wanted to share exciting updates with her during the months leading up to wedding day. She met us at our venue on on multiple occasions and each meeting made me even more thankful to have her on my team. She sent me checklists as we got closer to our wedding date and On wedding weekend, she handled everything for us from rehearsal, to vendor setups on wedding day, decorating for the ceremony and reception, the list goes on. Our wedding day was a dream. "Kelsea and her team are so professional and accommodating. She tweaked her services to match exactly what I was looking for in a planner, she built her schedule around our timing/needs, and she was extremely flexible - any time I needed her, she responded same day. The months leading up to the wedding she helped me figure out exactly which style worked best with my personality and helped me communicate my vision to all vendors, she also brought details to my attention that I would've otherwise not been aware of (welcome baggies, bathroom baskets, 'reserved' signs, directional signs for property, honeymoon packing list, etc.). The month of the wedding she finalized timelines and blueprints with our vendors and wedding parties, details about what we had agreed upon - I didn't have to worry about anything. The day of our wedding, Kelsea and her team kept everyone clam and stepped in when I didn't feel comfortable approaching vendors about specific details/decorations/etc. She handled every curve ball we thrown her way, kept her cool, and didn't let me see any of the craziness - which definitely calmed my nerves on the big day and helped to keep my family calm & happy as well.
